My Father's House would not exist if it were not for volunteers. From the very beginning volunteers have done everything from accounting to building renovation, landscaping to computer networking, meal preparation to teaching life skills. Volunteers are one of the most valued assets that we have in accomplishing our mission. |

Everyone has skills & abilities to offer. Our volunteers have come in all varieties. From the young to the retired and seniors, every level of ability, many, many areas of skill and interest--all have found meaningful service at My Father's House.
Following are some of the things people have done as volunteers . . . plumbing, meal preparation, painting, construction, cleaning, photography, videography, computer tune-ups, landscaping, work in QuickBooks, MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, and on and on.

Are You a Youth With a Group? We are looking for volunteer "Ambassadors" in middle school, high school or college to represent My Father's House and the cause of ending rural homelessness in Kansas. The role involves distributing information in different media formats to a group in which they have involvement.
4H Clubs, Church Youth Groups, Student Councils, fraternities and sororities are all examples of groups where awareness of rural homelessness issues can be elevated. The hope is that through this education, young people will then spread the word to increasing numbers of people.
If you are interested in more information about being an Ambassador, send an email to ambassadors@my-fathers-house.com and we will supply you with an informational packet.
