To be a responsible organization, we believe we must do all we can to be good stewards of our world and its resources. We are initiating a plan to become more and more "green" in our operations. This means conserving resources and recycling waste whenever possible. |
|
Things we have implemented
1) We have began replacing incandescent light bulbs with more efficient fluorescent bulbs.
2) We have reduced the waste that goes to the landfill by recycling our cardboard waste.
3) We are composting our organic waste and using it in our garden.
4) We take in cell phones, inkjet cartridges and laserjet cartridges to be recycled in a fundraising program. |

5) We donate surplus items to other nonprofit organizations to use instead of discarding.
6) We recycle all aluminum containers in a fundraising program.
7) Our facility was weatherized through a federal government funded program that added insulation, efficient double-pane windows and installed new efficient boilers.
We have more progress to make as we continue to grow in our effectiveness as stewards of the earths limited resources. |
